Azithromycin 250mg tablets is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections. The medicine is highly beneficial in treating a wide array of bacterial infections such as bronchitis; pneumonia; sexually transmitted diseases (STD); and infections of the ears, lungs, sinuses, skin, throat, and reproductive organs. Azithromycin belongs to a class of medications called macrolide antibiotics that work by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing bacteria. Azithromycin tablets are not effective in the treatment of colds, flu, or other viral infections.
